IPLab was established in 1985 at the Department for Numerical Analysis and Computer Science (NADA), the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), and is based on an interdisciplinary group of researchers and research students in computing science, linguistics, psychology, sociology and design, with common interest in human computer interaction. IPLab is colocated and closely cooperates with the Centre for User Oriented IT Design (CID).
